Position Summary
The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day operations on residential construction sites. This role oversees subcontractors, ensures compliance with building codes and safety standards, coordinates project schedules, and communicates with project managers, homeowners, and trades. The ideal candidate has a solid background in residential construction and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably in custom homes or remodeling.
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead carpenter role.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management.
Proficient with construction management software and basic computer applications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Day-to-Day Duties
Open and close the job site daily.
Walk the site to review progress and identify issues or areas needing attention.
Communicate with subcontractors and ensure each trade knows the day’s tasks.
Verify completed work matches plans and specs before approving.
Update project management software or logbooks with progress, deliveries, and changes.
Inspect tools and equipment for proper use and maintenance.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Manage cleanliness and organization of the job site.
Attend weekly progress meetings with project managers and/or clients.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all on-site activities related to custom home builds, remodels, and residential construction projects.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, laborers, and deliveries to ensure smooth workflow.
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control, adherence to blueprints, and safety compliance.
Communicate effectively with homeowners, architects, designers, and project managers regarding job progress and issues.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, photos, time sheets, and change orders.
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and site checks.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise to keep the project on track.
Ensure materials and tools are properly managed and protected on-site.
Represent the company professionally with clients and subcontractors at all times.
